A message from Dr. Jan Sheldon, CEO, Royal Association for Deaf people

As you may know I have had the honour of being the Chief Executive at RAD for over six years. During this time the organisation has developed considerably, we have also received external recognition for our hard work e.g. Investors in People – Gold, CHAS (Health and Safety). As a result of the hard work of colleagues at RAD we are now viewed as credible delivery partner when we submit bids and tenders. I am very proud of the way in which the organisation has developed over the years.

As a Chief Executive it is always difficult to know when it is the right time to move on; there always seems to be one more thing you want to achieve, another improvement you can make or a plan you’ve made which is taking shape. However, I have decided that now is the right time for me to move on to new challenges. I will be leaving RAD at the end of November.
