Royal Association for Deaf people continues to provide Information, Advice and Guidance Services to Brent’s Deaf residents

The Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD) are delighted to announce that their Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service will continue to be available to Deaf residents in Brent after a successful funding agreement with Brent Advice Fund.

The service is available weekly on Thursdays from 10am- 4pm at Brent CAB, 270-272 High Rd, London NW10 2EY.

Evening or weekend Facetime/Skype appointments are also available if required.

All advice workers are either Deaf themselves or fluent in British Sign Language (BSL). The service is provided in people’s first language: BSL or other preferred visual communication such as Signed Supported English (SSE), or Deafblind manual/hands on.

RAD’s qualified advisors provide rights-based information and advice on:

  • Financial matters including benefits and debt
  • Housing matters
  • Employment
  • Discrimination
  • Access to appropriate health and social care services

We can also help with:

  • Understanding correspondence
  • Completion of forms
  • Signposting
  • Referrals to other services
  • Booking interpreters
