This fully online programme offers an exciting opportunity to learn British Sign Language (BSL), enhance Deaf Awareness and develop leadership skills in an engaging and interactive environment.

Course Overview
Perfect for those wanting to achieve their BSL Level 1 qualification quickly, without compromising quality of learning. This course is an intensive, structured programme, where you will achieve your BSL level 1 in just a few weeks. Led by expert deaf BSL teachers, these interactive lessons are aligned with Signature guided learning hour’s supporting you to achieve your goals in no time.
Course Content
The course is divided into three units, each focusing on different aspects of everyday life:
- Unit 101 covers Meeting People / Using Numbers / Weather / Transport / Directions
- Unit 102 covers Describing People, Objects & Animals / Interests & Activities / Food & Drink
- Unit 103 covers Getting Around / Sharing Information / Weather

This course is delivered online via Zoom
Accreditation
Each of the 3 x units are assessed via a 5 minute recorded conversation with the BSL Trainer. All unit assessments will be submitted to Signature for evaluation. Upon successfully passing the course, learners will receive a Signature accredited BSL Level 1 certificate.

Course Overview
One of the most preventable causes of death is suicide, yet many people feel unprepared when it comes to supporting someone in crisis. This workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills to recognise, respond and support individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. This vital training provides the knowledge and confidence to make a real difference in someone’s life.
Course Content
The Suicide First Aid® Lite is a half-day awareness session that teaches the theory and practice of suicide intervention skills that can be applied in any professional or personal setting. The programme teaches the skills needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and to pass the person onto a Suicide First Aider®.
The training session will be split into two parts, each 90 minutes.
Part 1 – 90 minutes
- Introduction to the session; programme, ourselves and suicide prevention
- Stigma, bereavement by suicide, and The Hidden Toll®
- Understanding suicidal thoughts and behaviours
- Intention vs. Outcome of Behaviour®
- Exploring possible causes of suicidal thoughts
- The Ripple Effect® of suicide
Break
Part 2 – 90 minutes
- ‘I’m Really Glad You Told Me’® – audio-visual segment
- Introduction to the suicide-safety guide
- Recognising suicide risk and initiating conversation
- Referring a person onto Suicide First Aiders®

Accreditation
Upon completion of the course all learners will receive a certificate of attendance. Learners who would like a more formal recognition are welcome to register for an assured Digital Badge and E-Certificate, for an additional fee.
