Hello everyone,
The Royal Association for Deaf people, RAD, are pleased to announce that we are partnered with Wilberforce Trust York and will be providing Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) services for the deaf or hard-of-hearing community living in York and surrounding areas.
This is a free hybrid support service consisting of face-to-face and remote video call sessions.
As part of RAD’s offer, we can support residents with:
- Filling in forms for benefits like PIP, housing benefits and more
- Translating English into British Sign Language (BSL)
- Making telephone calls
- Understanding bills, such as water and energy bills
- Contacting local councils
- Signposting to specialist support services
- and much more
