Children and Families

We recognise that growing up in a hearing world can be challenging for Deaf children. Our programme of events and services have been developed with your child in mind; improving communication, building friendships, increasing access and supporting the development of skills.

Family events

These are fun and engaging, supporting the development of friendships and building confidence. Take a look at our upcoming events

Activities

We organise activities specifically designed for Deaf children and their families. We also organise access to communication support at mainstream activities. Take a look at our upcoming activities

Duke of Edinburgh Award (South East)

We provide accessible Duke of Edinburgh programmes, tailored to meet the learning needs of your child. Adventure awaits!

One-to-One support / Advice / Advocacy

Our experienced staff, who are either Deaf themselves or fluent in British Sign Language (BSL), are available to support you and your child to make informed choices

Befriending service

Is your child struggling to make friends or access their local community? Our befriending service can help. We can support your child to access their local community; reducing isolation, building confidence and encouraging choice.

Mentoring

Does your child need a mentor? This programme provides safe support, encouragement and inspiration.  It promotes choice and encourages Deaf children to confidently develop their identity.

Integr8

Is your child disengaged with school? Integr8 can support your child to become more engaged in school life, improving participation and helping them to achieve their learning goals.
